What is Energy Medicine?

Energy medicine is the oldest and most naturally-occurring healing modality on Earth. Donna Eden, a world-renowned energy expert and author/instructor, has developed specific techniques that draw from a range of ancient therapies — such as acupuncture, yoga, and qi gong — and combines them with the principles of western science and medicine. As a certified practitioner of Eden Energy Medicine, I offer a balanced, thoughtful approach to healing by improving and utilizing your body’s own energy systems.

I have trained and studied directly under Donna Eden, as well as completed three years of additional study with Donna’s top teachers, learning how to use my hands to work with my clients’ electromagnetic fields to help revitalize the individual’s life force. I utilize a combination of systems, such as acupressure, chakra balancing, and aura clearing, to apply an innate system of checks and balances throughout all of the body’s energy structures.

Energy Psychology

Are you familiar with EFT? Its a form of energy therapy that uses the body’s meridian points – the same spots on your body that are used in Energy Medicine and Acupuncture – to significantly reduce activity in a part of your brain called the amygdala. When you experience trauma or fear, the amygdala is triggered and your body is flooded with cortisol, commonly known as the “stress hormone.” When you tap these meridian points in conjunction with repeating certain phrases,  you can drastically reduce or eliminate the distress that accompanies the problems you face. Yoga and Energy

Thank you to Journey of Yoga in Simsbury for inviting me to teach a workshop with Sybil Merriman on Yoga and the Chakras.

During our 2-hour class, we discussed this incredible series of energy vortexes that have a significant impact on our major organ systems as well as our emotional well being. Each center has an integral function in creating our energetic balance. It is through the study of our energetic and physical being that we can create health, emotional stability and spiritual bliss.

Following our discussion,  Sybil guided us through a soothing yin/yang yoga practice as we learned techniques to open and balance our chakras to clear old energy habits and allow fresh energy to flow through our bodies.

Awesome energy!

I am fascinated and inspired by energy. Within and surrounding our physical bodies are various energetic systems that have jobs just as specific and important as our heart or liver. The balance, flow and connectedness of these systems are crucial to our health – physically, emotionally, intellectually and spiritually. Through the use of kinesiology (energy muscle testing) I identify basic energy systems and specific pathways that are out of balance or blocked and correct them. Many corrections take the form of specific exercises I lead you through, and teach you so that you can continue your healing work at home. Based on what your energy tells me we then decided what kind of a session you will receive, for example we might work with the chakra’s to help you release old emotions or work with your neurovasculars to relieve stress. We can also focus on physical wellness by working with the meridians – the options are endless.

Some of the many benefits of energy medicine: Support your immune system.
Clear energy blockages and revitalize your enthusiasm for life.
Experience significant stress relief and let go of unwanted habit patterns.
Gain confidence, mental clarity and greater memory retention.
Discover a deeper connection to yourself.
Create inner harmony as you learn to ground and protect yourself from external negative, stressful environments.
